Week 1 Player Of The Week Kaelin Drakeford

December 12, 2019

After the first week of the 2019-2020 Kentucky Boy’s basketball season completes we want to congratulate Mercer County guard Kaelin Drakeford for being the Pure Prospects Player Of The Week for Week 1 of the season.
After receiving nominees and having our poll with over 300 votes Drakeford edged out John Hardin guard Alex Matthews, Marion County G/W Jamison Epps, and LCA G Tanner Walton to win the inaugural award.

The 6’3” senior guard had a huge week to open up the 2019-2020 season. Drakeford averaged a whopping 38 points and 11 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient 52.3% from the field, a hot 45% (9 makes) from the 3, and 78% (21/27) from the Free throw line.
Many outside Mercer County May not recognize the name on the hardwood but know him between the pylons. Drakeford currently does not have any offers in basketball but the QB has 3 offers in football. Kentucky Wesleyan, Urbana, and Centre all have offered the talented young playcaller.
Remember followers and basketball fans to nominate your favorite player and their stats for Pure Prospects Player Of The Week for Week 2.
