Kentucky Without Big Cat For First Round

March 21, 2019

Lexington,KY- Thursday morning Kentucky Coach John Calipari tweeted out that Sophomore Stud PJ Washington would not play in the first round matchup Thursday against Abilene Christian due to a sprained foot. This will severely hamper the Cats having without arguably their best player and top scorer. Cal said yesterday that they didn’t believe anything was broken and that Washington was seeing a specialist to make sure he was okay and that he expected him to play. The news must’ve not been as good as expected. Rumors floated that he was just in a walking boot but Washington is in a hard cast for precautionary reasons and will miss the first round matchup.

There is talk going around that he might could miss Saturdays game as well if they win Thursday. If the Wildcats are title contenders like the fans hope then they should be able to win the first two rounds without him. It will be interesting to see who will step up and fill the void.
